200 marijuana plants found in Edgar County Illinois

A major marijuana bust in Edgar County, Illinois.

Thanks to a tip from Indiana State Police, the Edgar County Drug Task Force found and destroyed 200 marijuana plants that were growing on several plots throughout the county.

During a flyover, Indiana State Police noticed something peculiar and alerted Edgar County officials.

Edgar County Sheriff Tim Crippes tells News 10, evidence left at these plots have been sent to the Illinois State lab for DNA analysis.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The recovered marijuana plants were burned later that day.
