The legal sale of “K2” and “Spice” could go up in smoke in the Brew City. Also known as synthetic marijuana, the “incense” is sold as at area head shops and convenience stores. But it’s hit the radar screen of Milwaukee aldermen who want to ban it – and punish users and sellers with fines and jail time.
Three grams of K2 sells for about $40. Smoking the substance, which is often green-colored, creates a brief but intense high. But some say it’s dangerous and have linked the drug to an Iowa suicide and a fatal car accident in Waukesha.
