4-year-old went door-to-door selling marijuana

What is the world coming to? A Texas woman is behind bars after her neighbors reported that her four-year-old daughter was trying to sell a brick of marijuana.

San Juan police said a 4-year-old girl was removed from her home after neighbors claim she was going door-to-door selling drugs.

Investigators told Action 4 News that they received an anonymous phone call about the girl on Monday.

Police said a 4-year-old girl living on the 300 block of 1st Street in San Juan was going door-to-door asking people if they wanted to buy marijuana.

When police arrived they knocked at Maria Ipina’s door and asked to search the residence.

According to police, she gave consent to have the apartment searched where a toddler was there.

Police say they didn’t find the marijuana, but they did find 204 grams of cocaine in the apartment as well as 21-packages of cocaine hidden in a cereal box.

San Juan police said they arrested the 22-year-old woman after finding drugs in her apartment.

Ibina is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday afternoon on drug possession charges.

San Juan police said the mother could also face child endangerment charges.

Child Protective Services removed the child from the home.
