Man charged after marijuana plant spotted growing by window

A 32-year-old Adell man arrested after a marijuana plant was spotted in his window told authorities he didn’t think the plant was illegal since it was just growing and therefore didn’t have marijuana on it, according to charging documents filed today.
Despite the explanation, Nathan G. Huber, 32, of 225 Wisconsin St., was charged with felony counts of marijuana manufacturing and maintaining a drug trafficking place, as well as misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He could face more than three years in prison, if convicted on all counts.

According to a criminal complaint:

An anonymous caller spotted the plant Monday and contacted the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department. A deputy was dispatched and could see from the driveway that a marijuana plant between two and three feet high was growing in a window on the north side of the house.

Police obtained a search warrant and seized the plant, as well as several small baggies of marijuana, 120 marijuana seeds and drug paraphernalia.
